When I was still young and single, owning my own house isn’t much of a priority because I was still living in my parent’s house. Besides, we have very close family ties that we always want to be with each other. However, today's time is different. Now that I am married and have a family of my own, it is necessary for us to have a place that we can call our "own" home. Investing in a house and lot is a good investment for couple nowadays.

Few months ago, my husband and I were searching different residential communities. We are finally ready to invest. We wanted to get a house and lot of our own and reside our family to a place that can meet our needs in terms of financing and security. We actually established factors that will help us decide what type of house to get.

What we wanted is something near my parent's house so that we can also visit them during the weekends and also something that is both near our workplace. Apart from that, we also wanted it to be near the school, market, church and commercial centers.

For us, a house is in a good place if it is flood-free. We all know how it is difficult to battle with calamities and our family's safety should be the first in our minds when this type of situation occurs.

But at the end of the day, location, quality, and easy payment terms are still the most important factor to consider when getting a home. Kudos to your article :)

    1. If I had known earlier, I would also have invested during my 20's. Now, it would be 10 years already if I had paid early. It really pays off when you invest because you'll reap the harvest soon enough.
